Furniture Assembly in Austin

A school library being used as a staging floor, stacked rows of new classroom chairs and hundreds of flat boxes laid out across the room during a campus furniture install.

The box is in the hall. It has been there since the delivery. The instructions have no words, the little tool is already lost, and the evening you set aside for it has come and gone twice.

Last Stage Services builds it. Flat-pack and furniture assembly across Austin, in the room you want it in, with the cardboard gone before we leave.

What we build

Wardrobes, dressers and bed frames. Desks, office chairs and shelving. Bookcases, sideboards and media units. Cribs, changing tables and bunk beds.

The awkward ones especially. Anything tall, anything with a mirror in it, anything that needs two people and a wall.

And at building scale

Schools, offices and campuses, where the delivery is a semi trailer and the staging area is the library. Hundreds of desks and chairs built, inventoried, carted room to room and set to a floor plan, with the old furniture pulled out and the packaging cleared as it goes.

That work runs to a schedule somebody else set, usually over a weekend or a holiday, because the building has to open on Monday with every room ready. If you are fitting out a campus or turning over a floor, the count is the quote.

Anchored, which is the part that matters

Tall furniture tips. Dressers, bookcases and wardrobes come with an anti-tip strap in the bag and it is the single most skipped step in home assembly, usually because finding the stud is harder than the rest of the build put together.

Everything tall gets anchored into framing, not into drywall. If you have small children in the house, say so and we will show you what we fixed and where.

The packaging goes with us

A wardrobe generates more cardboard than it seems possible for one box to hold. It leaves with us the day we build it, so your hallway is clear that evening rather than the following weekend.

What it costs

From $160, which covers a couple of straightforward pieces in one visit. A wardrobe or a bunk bed on its own runs from $240 because of the height and the anchoring. Office fit-outs are quoted by the count, and a pallet of identical desks costs far less per desk than the first one.

The drive is the expensive part, so several pieces in one visit is always cheaper than several visits.

Room first, if it needs it

If the new furniture is replacing something, the old piece can go in the same visit. That is hauling, which we already do, and it means you are not living around a dead sofa waiting for a second appointment.

The same crew also assembles home gym equipment and builds playsets and gazebos outside.

Send a photo of the boxes, or the model names, and get an honest number back, usually the same day.
