Event Crew for Hire in Austin
Whatever part of the night you are short of, that is what we staff. Servers, bar, kitchen, setup and breakdown, a lead on the floor, or somebody running the whole day.
You tell us the date, the venue and the headcount. We show up early, run it, and clean up after.
The roles
Servers and floor
Passing, plated service, bussing, resets between courses, trash, water, and watching the room so it does not get away from anybody.
Bar
TABC certified. You or your caterer supply the alcohol, we run the bar. Batching before doors, pouring, ice, glassware, and keeping it clean all night.
Kitchen and back of house
Prep hands, plating on the line, dish and pot wash, keeping the pass moving, and the part nobody books until the day they need it.
Setup and breakdown
Tables, chairs, linens, place settings and decor at the start. Strike, haul off and the venue cleaned to the deadline in your contract at the end.
A lead on the floor
One person responsible for the crew and the timeline, so you are not managing staff during your own event.
Day of coordination
Somebody holding the whole run of show. Vendors, arrivals, the timeline, the speeches, the transitions, and the hundred decisions that get made between four o'clock and midnight.
How we work
Short load in times
Some venues will not let you in until an hour before guests arrive. Downtown buildings, offices and libraries are usually the tightest.
We brief the crew before the day so nobody is learning the timeline on site. Bar and food stations first, then tables and linens.
The end time in the contract
It is usually earlier than the one on the invitation, and the fine for running over lands on whoever signed. We work to the contract time and tell you at the start what that means for last call.
If somebody does not show
It happens a couple of times a year. We move people around, call in a backup and cover the spot ourselves until they get there. We did that this month on a one hour load in and the client never knew.
What it costs
Event crew, from $48 an hour per person, whichever role it is. We come in early for setup and stay through service. Staffed hours carry a service charge and it is shown on the estimate.
Strike, haul off and clean, from $500 on its own. Booked together with staffing, from $350.
You get the number before the day. If the job changes we tell you why before we do the work, not after.
Who books us
Companies running parties, appreciation nights and launches. Nonprofits with galas and donor dinners. Venues who need crew for a client. Caterers who supply the food and not the floor. Planners who need hands under their own direction. Families throwing something bigger than a dinner.
What we will not do
We do not supply alcohol and we do not sell it.
No liquor brands, no nicotine brands, no gambling brands. That has cost us work and it will keep costing us work.
We will not take a date we cannot staff properly.
Flowers
If there are flowers left at the end of the night, we take them the next morning to elders in assisted living and memory care. No cost to anyone. That is our Roses for Residents program and it runs whether or not it wins us the job.
