What worked
- The pre shift. Naming who owns the bar, the floor and the breakdown meant nobody was asking the lead a question somebody nearer could answer.
- Starting the strike on the closed section rather than waiting for the room to empty.
What to change
- The gear checklist needs the contents of each box, not the name of the box. An entry like 'bar box' tells a new person nothing.
- Confirm whether wine is being poured before the chiller travels.
Tips
Disbursed in cash on a point system, against hours actually worked. The lead takes none.
